As of Saturday, June 118, the upcoming drawing boasts a jackpot of $279 million, which can be claimed as a lump-sum cash amount of $159.4 million. If a lottery player from New York wins the grand prize, it will become the second-largest jackpot in the state’s history, surpassing the previous record of over $245 million won in August 2018. The biggest jackpot ever recorded in the state was a staggering $687.8 million, which was won two months later.
The Saturday draw will occur at 10:59 p.m. ET.

New York Lottery hands out Take 5 prizes
The emergence of a Powerball jackpot winner is bound to attract significant attention, however, other players of the New York Lottery have also had their share of success in the past week, particularly with the Take 5 draw game.
Between June 7 and June 12, the NY Lottery declared 13 victorious individuals in the Take 5 game. This game requires players to select five numbers from 1 to 39, with the objective of matching all five numbers during one of the two daily drawings in order to win the jackpot. Altogether, these winners received a total of $246,437 in prizes, resulting in an average of nearly $19,000 per winner.

Winners of prizes valued at $600 or less have the option to redeem their tickets at any authorized New York Lottery retailer. Alternatively, they can choose to send their winning ticket via mail to the NY Lottery or schedule an appointment at a Lottery Customer Service Center.
For prizes that surpass $600, such as the Take 5 winners mentioned above, recipients have the option to either make an appointment at a Customer Service Center or redeem their ticket at a Prize Claim Center. In order to claim their prize, ticketholders will be required to provide a few necessary pieces of information.
